In Tuscany ... everything is possible
The first thing that will astonish you when you get in our area, in the middle of Tuscany, Umbria and Lazio is the lanscape. Amazing hills, covered with vineyards, interspersed by the silvered green of the olive trees, a patient work over the centuries.
And under the cypresses, large stone farmhouses in an unspoilt countryside, untouched by factories and urbanization. Next to cereal and sunflowers fields, the spots where a deer can cross your road at any time, the rugged and wild Crete Senesi and the Calanchi, the badlands of Siena. Tuscan countryside is an ancient civilization, a result of a wise and balanced mix of nature and culture.
You can discover the remains of Paleolithic civilization in the Belverde Caves, in Cetona and Lake Bolsena, the remains of the mysterious Etruscan civilization in Chiusi, Sovana and Orvieto, or the Gothic-Cistercian architecture of the Abbey of San Galgano. Outstanding examples of less known Italy that wants to be slowly discovered, among old fortresses and castles, maybe on horseback or by following the ancient Via Francigena, the mandatory path of medieval pilgrims heading to Rome.
Once here you can have a wide range of choices ...
